Dimitri Payet
|
West Ham averaged over 2 goals a game with Payet.
Goalless draw specialists without him, yet to win a game in his absence at this moment.
Are we just a one-man team?

No. The stats are deceiving considering all our best attacking players were injured shortly after.

No, its Payet, Sakho, Lanzini, Moses and Valencia. Plus other injuries too, like Reid and Carroll.

What has happened to us is like say Man City losing Aguero, Silva, Sterling, De Bruyne and Kompany all at once. In the circumstances I am over the moon we are not getting beat. I think our current of form deserves a bit of credit considering.

I think sakho has been the biggest miss, could have filed without payet had he been available. Obviously Moses and Lanzini being out hasn't helped. Agree with posts below saying we deserve credit for picking up points with them all missing

We are missing nearly 3/4 of our attacking talent.....three clean sheets in a row suggests we're close to solving the defensive dilemma since we are hardly hanging on in games.
It's noticeable the opposition's sendings off have dried up, and that points to our lack of attacking talent....no-one fast enough to kick.

Could be a blessing in disguise really. Payet is simply one of the best players we have ever had. Had he not been injured it's certain the vultures would be swooping in January, and if we can fend the greedy big clubs off until summer, he may fancy staying, with potential new investors and our new home being so spectacular.
I'd give him Carroll's wages now and cart the other useless streak of piss off north as soon as possible.
We really should send Martinez and his Irish hitman a xmas card

We played at Watford, with all our best players - bar Sakho. We were woeful and could have lost by more.
Even the Everton game, as payed got injured, we didn't really look great...
Not totally sure we'd have that many more points if they'd have all been fit...

Matbe I'm deluded, but I don't think he is interested in anyone ekse but us until nest seasonis done. If we have a shit first season at the OS, then I'd be concerned about rich vultures, but not before.
So the only blessing his injury may provide is that we are having to live without him, and that he will hopefully be quite fresh for the last couple of months of the sesson when other teams will be feeling the fatigue of the long season.
I would rather have had him fit for the duration though.

Mr wendel
Watford, though not our best match, was reasonably under control until Carrol dropped a clanger in our own box, which really knocked us out of our stride.
Everton were having real trouble containing us, which is why cuntflap McCarthy went to the desperate measures he did.
